Individual, Couple and Family Therapy, Manchester

JENI WEBSTER B.Soc.Sc., CQSW, MSc(PSW), DSTTS,

UKCP Registered Family and Systemic Psychotherapist

I hold the family in mind, whether working with individuals, couples or families, both as a way of expanding an understanding of the past, present and future relationships surrounding the difficulties, and for exploring ways that might lead to change.

Sometimes it is helpful for all those affected by a problem to come together for therapy, but that may not be practical or desirable. It may be helpful to have some joint sessions and some individual ones. The first session can be used to explore these decisions. The frequency of sessions is negotiated.

Stress and tensions in relationships can arise for many of reasons. Sometimes this happens in the process of adjusting to change, such as becoming parents, a child leaving home or forming a new family post divorce, or dealing with something like redundancy or an accident. Sometimes it may be because of factors such as depression or anxiety, or living with a serious illness, including adult and parental mental health,.

I also offer consultations and supervision to staff or teams.

Member of the Association for Family Therapy and Systemic Practice and Approved supervisor AFT.
